These are the flags representing all of the countries competing in the 2012 Olympics in London! We watched the opening ceremony as a family on Friday night. Exciting since we just left London a few weeks ago. Disappointing performance to say the least. Oh well, we still enjoyed it, being so familiar with all of the London sites!!!

Summer Sillies
Silly Shots from Summer
Look at that hair!
Is my hat crooked?
Yes, that is our Momma! She really does exist...just not in pictures!
I walked in my bathroom one morning and this is what I found! How scary is this shot???
Loving having my hydrangeas! I have the most beautiful blooms every year in Pickwick. In Covington, I repeatedly kill them each year? Oh well, at least I have success part of the time!
Crazy Cousins!
Just a couple of cute cousin moments from this summer. Aunt Das, being the child lover that she is, took Oney, Gracen and the Turner girls to McDonalds for lunch. She then took them to her house for afternoon of swimming and summer fun! McDonalds and Das, what more could you ask for in life?Who doesn't LOVE Aunt Das???
This picture of Oney and Carson was taken by Monnie. Me and Monnie were BESTEST BUDDIES growing up. Because her parents were divorced, we only saw each other every other weekend. THANK THE GOOD LORD! I could have never kept up if she was around every weekend! I was sick by Monday morning on her Burlison weekends! We have some of the craziest, scariest, weirdest memories...I wish that Carson and Oney spent more time together. They are BOTH the sweetest boys. They remind me so much of me and Monnie!
Some of my BEST childhood memories are times spent with my cousins. Whether it be a family vacation, Sunday lunch, or just an afternoon playing outdoors, these are some of my most memorable times as a child.
Shadows and Fairies
Oney is always on the go...just like the blog says...always moving! I was flipping through his phone today and found these random pictures. I LOVE shadow pics...you can tell by some of the pictures my kids take of them and their friends that they have been photographed one too many times!
Love this...as he is riding his bike, he stops to take a picture! So cute!
Mom, I lost a tooth! Look...I pulled it by myself! Can the tooth fairy still come?
"Gearing Up" for Football
While the girls were gone to camp this week, Oney started getting ready for his first football season at TRA. We went to All American to get fitted for all of his gear. He is getting really excited about playing with his school friends this year. He has played touch football in a Covington league for the past two years.
I am a little apprehensive, as most Mothers probably are, about the whole tackle situation. With so much media concerning head trauma, I can't help but be a little worried. Also, practicing in this HEAT is a bit much. Oney had practice on Wednesday and the picture below shows what the heat index was...114!!! Can you tell I am having a little trouble cutting the cord on my "baby boy"? I can't believe he is in the 5th grade! WOW!

Student Council Camp
My poor girls were at home for less than 48 hours before they had to pack up and head to Student Council Summer Leadership Camp. Because of Abby's position on the state board, she was required to attend. We knew when we planned our trip this would be the case. Ally was a good big sis and decided to attend with Abby. They both attended last year and absolutely LOVED it. They gained some good leadership tactics, too. So, they wanted to go again. The being gone away from home factor just worried me a bit. However, they have done great! I talked to them awhile ago and all was well. They are looking forward to a lazy weekend at home. I don't think I will be able to pry them off of the couch and they do not want to go to the lake. I agree. I am in need of a few more days at home sweet home. The "re-entry" into the real world after being gone so long has been hard. I am still in the recovery mode. I did my last load of laundry today, put away the last stack of clothes and finished going through my huge stack of mail.
We have the best council and advisors ever. They said their prayer and then I made everyone pose for a group shot! The kids are all used to me and my camera...between student council, basketball, volleyball, golf, etc. I always have a camera in my hands. I know someday my kids will appreciate it!
Silly Shot!
Look at this...these three were standing in the parking lot talking and it made me do a double take! Susan was their Elementary principal not too many years ago. Now look at them! wow!
