Hunters Turned Plumbers

The ducks weren't flying too much this morning but the snapchats were coming.
How cute is this face?

On a different note, all of a sudden, our sinks started gurgling, our toilets started backing up, and the dishwasher started making noises... I called Roy Clay after church and he told me to open these drains in the yard until her could get here Monday morning. So, when the men got home from duck hunting I told them to get to work!

Oney was telling Judson how to do it and Judson went to work!

They found the drains..but boy oh boy...not a fun job...
As soon as he loosened the top....out came the "STUFF"...ugh...
Roy Clay can't get here fast enough!!!

What does a country boy do on a sunny Sunday afternoon??? Go spray paint his name on something, of course!

Happy Birthday to Ally...her first birthday away at college...I can't believe she is "19"! This time next year I will have two college kids and a 20 year old...time please slow down, just a little?

Banquet Buddies

Covington's Football banquet was tonight at the Baptist Church. Oney went with Zoe and of course Abby went with Hayden. Everyone looked so handsome and beautiful. I can't believe how tall Oney has gotten. He is about to pass his dad in height.

The three amigos...

Oney wasn't happy because I made him take pictures with us.  I love the "love" for St. Jude that we have passed on to our kids. He had his St. Jude pin on his sport coat - just like his Jid Jidi, Jidi, and Dad - all huge supporters of St. Jude.

The "LEBANESE" cousins...hahaha...

The Burlison Cousins...

CRAZY cute friends...

The Handsome/Beautiful Couple
WOW
They have matured so much since their first date two years ago. They both looked like babies and now they look like young adults. The two of them remind me a lot of Judson and I when we were in high school. Scary sometimes. Lookout college here they come!

My two handsome men. Hayden has been a friend to Oney since Abby and his first date. He is a fine young man - his parents have done a great job with him.

Happy 45th Birthday Judson!

WOW...did we really celebrate Judson's 40th birthday 5 years ago??? Here are a few pics from his awesome party at the lake 5 years ago.

Look how skinny we both were 5 years ago. Ugh.
This years celebration was a little more low key. He cleaned his guns while watching football.
Then we double dated for the first time with Abby and Hayden. We went to Chili's (mine and Judson's favorite old date spot) to eat. Then we went to see the movie about the bombing of the Boston Marathon, Patriot's Day. It was so good - so sad and horrific yet uplifting to see how the victims could have such positive attitudes.
Judson and Hayden had to sit on the same side of the booth so they could see the football game. Sometimes it is scary how much they are alike.
Oney skipped out on us and went to the Main Event with his group of friends. Thanks to the mommas who drove them and looked after them.

Jeep Time

After several months of juggling cars, we finally found Oney a car- a jeep. He has been so patient driving an old work truck of my Dads, "Rooney", nicknamed by Oney of course. I have never seen anyone so happy to have his own wheels. He was THRILLED! I don't blame him-everyone in the house has always wanted a jeep. We have always said they weren't the best to drive a lot of miles in - I still believe that-Oney literally drives less than 5 miles to school everyday-so it was a go!

The day we made our mind up he started polishing it up. From the top, to the fenders, to the rails, to the tires he cleaned and shined it up! He could't wait and let Marty do it. Lord please watch over him on the road.

It was cold and rainy that afternoon, so we pulled it in the backroom of the store. Some of his friends stopped by to see it and helped him clean it up! He has really made some AWESOME friends this year at Covington High School. Praise the Lord-what a difference a year makes.

Shooting and Snoozing

What do you do in the country on a beautiful Saturday afternoon? Nap? Stay in your pajamas all day?Shoot 400 rounds of ammo? Sure, why not?

Ally and her friends headed to their Senior Lunch in Memphis.

No More Brace Face

All Oney wanted for Christmas was to get his braces off of his teeth! So, guess what? Dr. Werner had been teasing him for several months about taking them off. I nudged him a little and off they came! I didn't tell Oney where we were going until the morning of...he was SO EXCITED to say the least. Merry Christmas to him!

BEFORE

AFTER...He looks SO old!

Sweet Moments

These are just some random pictures of special seconds in time that I snapped pics of to remember.

Ally had an awesome basketball game in Millington last night. I always call/text Joe and give him a report if she does well. He was sick he missed this game. After EVERY game, he shows up in my office the next morning just like this photo...

He is holding the clippings from the Commercial Appeal...how cute and priceless is this?!

Oney has started checking on his Sittie and Jidi pretty much daily now. They always need something done...a lightbulb changed, a box lifted, a branch trimmed, something put in the attic, a tv fixed, an iPhone session, etc. Here he is relighting their pilot light in their gas light at their front door.

Sometimes I think they are concocting things just for the visit!

This was a rainbow as I was driving to work this morning. You cannot tell from the picture, but it looked like one end was at my mom's house and the other end was at Judson's parents house. It just was gorgeous!

Judson and Oney changing out the chokes on his new gun he got for his birthday.

They are sometimes like oil and water but today they were in sync. Judson had patience and Oney was listening. It was a brief moment...loved watching them.

Moments like these are what life is all about.
