Shopping with Sittie

A little back to school shopping with Sittie
and Jerry's Sno Cones afterwards...

Growing...Like A Weed!

Oney is growing almost as fast as this tomato plant that appeared in our flower bed. It just appeared one day and we have been taking care of it and getting some great tomatoes, too!

Sweetest Baby Ever

Today was Abby's last day at St. Jude for her Summer internship. She has had the most amazing experience ever. It has been so rewarding...she has learned so much, grown up so much, and
We were HONORED to get to keep baby Mac for a little while tonight! He is so adorable!

Driving Momma...CRAZY

Judson, Oney and I had to run to Memphis this afternoon. Oney loves to sit up front and I love to catch a few minutes peace. So, I sat in the back seat and let Jud and O drive me. I shut my eyes and within seconds I WE was were out.

I snapped this picture of these two walking to the car. I wish I had measured Oney in May...he has grown so much this Summer. He reminds me SO MUCH of his Father. Sometimes I look at him or listen to him and think - wow - its the boy I dated years ago.

We ate a late lunch/early dinner at their favorite place...Bonefish...we had Bang Bang shrimp of course! It was delicious! Then we had strawberry shortcake for dessert. Yum!

Zach Johnson...Open Winner

Zach Johnson...Judson's "Pro Player" in the Fed Ex/St. Jude Pro Am back in 2006. WOW! Look at those babies! We had to dig these pictures out today after he won the Open. Of course, we were cheering for him. He was such a "normal" person that day that took tons of time with our kids. Great memory...congrats Zach!

Here are a few lines taken from an article about Zach and his wife, family and faith. Seems like we had the right idea about him...

(CNN)"When you're trying to accomplish lofty goals and when you're attacking something of great magnitude, you have to have help," says new Open champion Zach Johnson.
In the golfing world, winning the Masters at Augusta or the Open Championship at St. Andrews is as good as it gets.
Johnson is one of just six players to win at both venues, and he is quick to acknowledge the two "rocks" that made it possible: his faith as a Christian, and his wife Kim.
"There's a lot of individuals behind the scenes that get you there, but Kim is the head of that. She's the one that I go to first for anything. She's the self-acclaimed CEO of Zach Johnson Golf," the American told CNN Wednesday, reflecting on the playoff victory at Scotland's "home of golf" that took his career earnings past $37 million.
"She has that title and evidently there's no shelf-life for that. I'm grateful for that."
"She's my rock -- she's the one that I can trust with anything," Johnson said. "Good or bad, it doesn't matter what the situation is, she's always there.
"She's very level-minded, always got great perspective, and she sits me in my place and keeps me properly focused and allows me to do what I do."
Johnson's rebuilt faith is also a key factor in his serial success on tour: ...Throughout a difficult five days at St. Andrews, where the players were often battling the elements as much as themselves, the 39-year-old kept his composure by reciting his favorite scriptures.
He said Psalm 27:14 ("Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart") was going through his mind as the tournament came to a climax -- an ending he describes as "such a blur."

Left Behind at the Lake

We have gathered at the lake the past few years with some childhood friends and their kids. We typically do it the week after the 4th. Jud and I have been so busy this year with the stores it is insane. Trust me-its a good problem-its just been really time consuming. Adding some different items to our mix has added a lot of time and effort.

That being said, I just don't feel like I have caught my breath at all. We pack up on Friday, go to the lake, pack up on Sunday and come home. Work our rears off Monday through Thursday and do it all over again. Ally has basketball and Abby had to work. So, I opted out this year. I just didn't feel like I had it in me. Mother offered to keep Oney, so I left him with her. I know Mom was disappointed in me for not staying. She should have been. I have got to learn to start saying no to more things.

I know they had fun and I know I missed a ton of great food, late night talks, and storytelling. I stole a few pictures from Oney's snapchat. He really had fun and I was glad he stayed. I know he was helpful with the boats and sea doos too.

Waterfall jumping and Rope swinging

While he was gone, after work each night I tried to catch up on a few things at home. I missed Oney right off the bat. I had to poison my ferns, roses and hydrangeas. The japanese beatles were taking over our house. Yuck!

This tomato plant proves the power of a tiny seed. We aren't sure where the seed came from? A tomato? The trash? The mulch? Anyway...this plant just appeared. Well, with our love for tomatoes, we decided to keep it...right in the middle of our flower bed! Look how HUGE that plant is!
Oney and all of the "girls"!
The kiddos playing games at Das's house. Oney and Owen sure were two lucky fellows with those gorgeous girls!
Oney decided to stay at the lake until we got there on Friday. He took it upon himself to go ahead and cut the grass, water my flowers, wash off the porches, do the laundry, etc. YEP...that is all 100% truth...damn he's a good kid! This snapchat was of him pushing the lawn mower!
When I was watering the tomato plant one day, I found this cute little friend. How AMAZING is this creature? Look at the detail on it. SUPER COOL...just think of the detail God put into creating this beautiful Earth. It is indescribable.

Oh, and did I mention that he cleared the lot next to our house and made a bonfire area complete with stumps to sit on?
Biggs misses him BAD and so does his Momma.

Look at all of those little tomatoes and blooms on our plant.

oops...another friend...
Our beautiful house when we pulled in that Friday night. THANK YOU Oney! You are the hardest working young man I know! Keep up the hard work and compassion for others!
