Proverbs 3: 5 & 6
Mrs. Marylou
TRULY lived by this verse, even after she found out she had lung cancer. She was such a "Godly yet Normal" woman. I am so proud that my children were able to know her and be molded by her as a Bible teacher and as an Elementary principal, even if just for a few years. She made an impression on everyone she met. She was so wise, beautiful, approachable, loving, sincere, smart, hardworking, dedicated, kind, and yes I could go on forever. I just wish that I could talk to her for a few minutes now. Since her death, Judson and I have become really good friends with her daughter Katie and son in law, Ryan. As our friendship has grown, I feel like I have gotten to know Mrs. Marylou even better! Thanks to the McDaniel family for sharing Mrs. Marylou with our school for so many years. It would not be anywhere near where it is today, if it weren't for her dedication.
The Grandchildren joined other children from the elementary student body in singing special songs during the dedication. Katie and the grand kids presented the bronze.
The beautiful bronze that was placed in front of the elementary building. It is sitting on top of a stone pad that has the hand prints of all of her grandchildren molded into it.
Meg and Bebe presented the plaque that was placed on the building. I thought it was so beautiful as well. I loved the bust of her. Of course, there was a special scripture on it, too!
The most handsome man, "Mr. Dale". I have really enjoyed getting to know him better!

And to add a little humor to the day...
Judson had been trying to think of a "special" way to pick on Ryan for his cow tipping adventure. Well, he came up with the perfect idea. He borrowed the Turner Dairies inflatable cow to place it in their front yard. He debated on whether or not it would be appropriate to do it the day of the memorial. After much thought, he decided it would be the perfect "comic relief" needed for the day! The Naifeh's and Regis's went to the Hughes home right after the reception and set it up. The kids were all anxiously awaiting Ryan's arrival in the front yard!
As you can see from Katie and Ryan's faces, it was definitely a "comic relief"!!!
