Jeanne Claire's Graduation

Oney and I went to Jeanne Claire's 5th grade graduation at ECS this past week. She did such a great job. She has really enjoyed being at ECS and I am so glad it was a good switch for them. There are only 27 students in the 5th grade. It was a very cute program titled "Roaming Through Romans". We had cake and watched a slideshow of her and all of her classmates.

Sweet cousins!

Mother's Day

I LOVE MY FAMILY!

This was my BEST Mother's Day EVER! I can't really explain why or what made it so good. I think just being together with my family. We went to early church and started the day off with a really good sermon. Then we went to my Mom's and had a delicious lunch and Mee-Maw was there. I also took a nice, long nap. What more could you ask for???

The picture above was my "card" from Ally. She emailed it to me late Saturday night so that I would have it first thing Sunday morning! I LOVE IT!

The collage above was "part" of my card from Abby. She printed it out in HUGE print. She also made me a short slide show. I absolutely LOVED it, too!

I got some really cool and colorful bangle bracelets and a jewelry organizer from Stella & Dot. I also got gift certificates for a massage and a piece of gold from Dubai. It was entirely too much...but I loved it ALL!

Oh, and I almost forgot...we all had a little peace and quiet while Daddy took a little siesta at Ginny's!

Softball Season

Lady Rebels Softball Team

Yep...you read that correctly..."softball"! Ally decided to play softball this year for the first time since she was in the 4th grade! She actually did really well, too! She played right and left field for the most part. We had a really great team again this year. We only lost a couple of games.

Sarah Kate Downing, Taylor Beasley and Ally after the last game. Notice Ally is number 11...she always tries to get that number since that was always Britt's number!

Memphis Redbirds Field Trip

The TRA fourth graders took a field trip to the Memphis Redbirds Baseball game last week. Oney's class was honored with the task of singing the National Anthem. Ms. Carole, our music teacher, has been working with the kids for weeks on the Anthem. They did GREAT! They not only looked like professionals, they sounded like it, too! Their words were so precise and in sync. Ms. Carole is AWESOME...we are so lucky to have her at our school.

I had to MAKE the boys stop for a half a second to pose for this picture. They weren't real excited about it! Oney gave all of the boys in the 4th grade a Redbirds/Naifeh's baseball cap. We had a Con Agra promotion last year and had a few left over. The boys were all so thrilled to get a hat. Oney was just as excited to pass them out. Don't they look cute?

Look at my man...he is getting so big! He is so tall, too! Not to mention HANDSOME!

Watching the game from the "party area".

Oney and his "girl friends"!
Brooke Burton, Addey Grace Beasley, Lexie Williams, Meredith Owen, Tatum Chandler and Mary Leslie Cranford. All of them are such sweet girls!

I typically do not like baseball at ALL. But, this was one of the BEST field trips that we have done.

8th Grade Washington Trip

The 8th grade takes a class trip to Washington, D.C. each year. I was lucky enough to go with Ally this year. It was an incredible trip to say the least. Lisa Cole did a great job with it. I took about 800 pictures so here are just a few of our memories in a snapshot.

Ally and these other students were chosen to place a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was such a high honor. It was a very touching ceremony and it really made an impression on the kids. This was a very special day for our family. To think that Ally's Great Grandfather's were both born in a foreign country, and came to America searching for that dream. Gives me chills every time I think about it!

I love this picture. I snuck up on her and grabbed a hug before she realized what was happening. Priceless~

My caretakers for the week - Breck, Me and James

All packed up and ready to head home. I'm not sure who was more tired, the kids or the parents?!

Ally's photo collage she made on the way home. Did you all know how much I LOVE taking pictures? I know that I take too many, but I love it and I know someday we will all be so grateful!

Jud Goes to Vegas...AGAIN?

The joke with our friends is that Judson has a time share in Las Vegas because he goes so much...I am beginning to wonder myself! He went with his annual golfing grocery group. He has been every year now for about 15 years. He looks forward to it EVERY year. I do not blame him either. I LOVE Las Vegas. It is one of my favorite places to go with him. They have everything...good food, good shopping, entertainment, great spas, etc. We met this pool girl, "Liz",when we went to the ACM's a few weeks ago. We told her to look for Judson...well guess what...she didn't forget him...how could she???

Judson and I went shopping for him some new "stylish" golf gear this year. He really has some pressure from his high society clothing guru friends Eric and Ryan. I think he looks great here...he even bought himself a white golf belt. WOW...Jud is stepping out a bit!

This is Judson's new Sanderson Salesperson, Brian Schmoekel. He took Dan Stokes place when Dan retired a few months ago. This was his first time in Vegas. Another Vegas Virgin...not a good thing I'm afraid...

This year I was especially sad when he went to Vegas without me. I usually look forward to our little break from each other each year but this year not so much. Why? He was supposed to go to DC with Ally on her 8th grade trip...instead I went. That's another post.

I know Judson had a good time...he lost his voice, he won a little money, he never called, texted or emailed, he fell asleep during another Bucket List show event, he came home quiet and exhausted! All signs of a good trip.
