Vineyard Vines Margarita Swim Shorts

Well, well…while this post may seem a little trivial to anyone reading it outside of my PLU’s (People Like Us), it is VERY meaningful to the rest of us! So…humor me…

I have to give credit where credit is due.  Just a short time ago, my family had no idea what the pink little whale logo, Vineyard Vines, stood for or just what a big part of our life it would become. 

You see, my entire family is known for being the biggest “bargain” shoppers in the world. Judson NEVER pays retail for ANYTHING! I believe that is one thing that his ancestors definitely instilled in him.  Yes, Judson thinks when I shop at Indigo that I should ASK for a DISCOUNT!?!? Guess what, he typically gets his way and gets some sort of deal every time. Well, he has instilled this in our children so much that they typically go straight to the sale rack in any store AND ALWAYS have a COUPON! It is a GREAT trait to have…I wish I was more like him in that respect.

OK-back to the main story…Our “Preppy, Memphis Fashionista Friends”, Eric and Ryan, sport the Vineyard Vines logo all the time! They love it and they do look good in it. So, Judson did his research like he always does before any purchase and decided he couldn’t afford to pay full retail BUT he did want to invest in a few pieces and see if he liked it as much as the boys.  So he set out on a mission to find a discount source and guess what??? He did…6 P.M. and Sierra Trading Post both carry the brand. Well, the rest is history. He fell in love! He is now on a mission to buy the same stuff as the boys BUT brag about his deals!

So, Lori and Eric, with Judson’s coaching, decided to have a “Margarita Pool Party”, and Judson bought the PERFECT swim trunks to sport for the occasion. Of course, he didn’t tell anyone (but Lori). Well, baseball interfered and the party never happened. So, last weekend at the Lake, Judson decides to bring out the MARGARITA shorts. Well, guess what, so did Eric and Ryan. I know it seems a little unbelievable that none of the three knew about the others shorts (that’s how they roll), but they didn’t…

IT WAS PRICELESS! Unless you ask one of their kids, and they will describe it with other adjectives! So, the “Three AMIGOS STOOGES”, dressed alike on Pickwick Lake. What a sight for sore eyes! As they posed for their picture (they LOVE getting their picture made), Judson decides to push Ryan and Eric in the water. Here are the pictures…enjoy!
