Christmas Church Service

There really isn't a need for any words to go with this picture. How BEAUTIFUL is this...I just love our new Family Life Center. I LOVE our contemporary service but I missed being at our church when we used to meet on the square. I REALLY LOVE our new preacher, Wade Cox. He is refreshing, energetic, funny, and and seems very smart.

During the Church service this morning, I had to snap this picture. It just symbolized to me the need for "simple" during the Christmas Season. I thought, how simple is this scene, yet how beautiful and sufficient is it? I think I'm getting "old"...or maybe I'm just getting "it"...

Total Youth Leadership Party

Ally was fortunate enough to be chosen to participate in our counties "Total Leadership Program". It is just what it says, a leadership group for high school juniors inside Tipton County. They meet once a month their entire junior year and participate in team building, leadership training opportunities. It is a really neat program and Ally has enjoyed it so far. Ally asked me if we could have a little Christmas get together for the group and Judson and I were thrilled to do it, of course! Anytime we can have the kids hang out at our house, we love to have them! Ally said I had "WAY too much food"...of course, the kids ATE EVERY SINGLE BITE! It was a great group...very polite and well behaved. I was glad we hosted.

Ally and Oney's specialty...pretzel, rolo, and M&M bites. Of course, she picked out the red and green mms. But "I" am the one that goes overboard she says...
Reindeer cookies
Can you tell I love my new Cricut machine?
A little momentum for the kids to take with them.
Ally and Blake Glass in the "photo booth" or "green screen" that we have upstairs. I remember when the kids stood there and were about 3 feet tall...wow!
The "TOTAL" Group...I can't name them all but these are some that I know...Conlee Lea, Raygen Ramsey, Weston Downing, Blake Glass, Bailee Moss, Curtis Wall, Bailee Webb...
CRAZY pic
A Tipton County or maybe I should say Covington Tradition?!?! The kids now call it "spray paint road" we used to call it "the Curve".
Should I be a little concerned with Ally's intelligence or quality of her education when she misspells her name??? ALLLLLLLLLLLY got a little carried away it seems!!!!

The Stockings Were Hung...

One of the few seconds that I paused during the Christmas Season...I fell out on the couch for about five minutes and just stared at that family picture (a little outdated) and thought...how blessed is my family...perfect? No...blessed? YES!

Got Gas?

Close but NO cigar!

Abby ran out of gas this morning on the way to school...Ally slept in and didn't go to school today. She told Abby the night before to be sure and get gas. She didn't really stress to her just how EMPTY the tank really was...Needless to say, Abby was NOT a happy camper. She managed it well. Her brother Oney was a big help to her. One of many lessons learned in life...

Holiday Happies

I try to come up with something fresh and exciting each year for little "Holiday Happies"...for teachers, neighbors, etc. I feel like I have begun to run out of new ideas. Thanks to the old Mason jar and pinterest, I did these this year...party mix, a cute personalized label, and a Christmas ribbon. Voila! Ho Ho Ho!

Peyton and Friends!

A little "going away" fiesta at where else but Casa for one of Oney's dear friends, Peyton. We are so so sad to see this family leave Rosemark. I loved the parents and Peyton was a good friend for Oney. We had him at the Lake several times and at the house. They were just good people. We wish them the best of luck in Starkville, MS.

Buddy...the Elf

Me and Buddy the Elf...headed out to a Christmas get together at Monnie and Dan's house. It was officially an "ugly Christmas sweater", but Judson saw these costumes when googling for ideas and he insisted that we play the part. What does his crazy wife do but say "SURE"! He was so secretive the week of the party careful not to let anyone know what we were wearing. He watched you tube videos on the "Buddy the Elf" movies and memorized lines. Let me just tell you that he was in FULL character the night of the party.
Not that anyone (Buddy) cares, but I was "Jolie the Elf".
All of the awesome women (Moms) & friends at the party...I love every single one of these ladies. They are all lots of fun and just down to Earth friends.
We had to take this selfie for Abby and her "new found" boy friend, Hayden Powell. Nikki is Hayden's Mom. I'm pretty sure we embarrassed her...but thats my job.
Parker Fullen trying on Jud's wig...his sweater was hilarious!
Buddy getting into his character in the car on the way to the party. SCARY
Three clowns...Judson, Eric, & Ryan
Jud and good 'ole Tab...Jud has been great friends with Tab since before high school. He even took her to his high school prom. EVERYONE adores Tab...she tolerates Marty and has a heart of gold!
Judson getting ready to walk in the party...he says, "How do I look? Do I look good?" Everyone fell out laughing of course and said hands down that "we won" the prize! Poor Scott Davis, he looked ridiculous in his turtleneck and sweater! I wish I had a picture of him to post. AWESOME PARTY!!! THANKS Monnie for hosting!

Delta Waterfowl Dinner

Delta Waterfowl held its annual dinner at the Chamber Center tonight. I passed the baton to Oney several years ago and gave up my spot at the table so he and his Dad could have a night together.  It has become something they both look forward to doing together. Judson always invites Pancho and Tucker and Chad and Maddie. I just can't stand this picture...how grown up do these two look? Maddie is gorgeous and of course I think Oney is the most handsome thing EVER!

Oney always gets excited about something in the silent auction. This year it was this duck fan. He sleeps with a fan every night...so when he saw this fan he had a fit for it. Judson coached him through the bidding process and he ended up with it!!! This was him coming to wake me up and show me his prize when they got home.

Happy Birthday O!
