Friends, Food & Fun

So, the 20 feet of snow did not make it here, sadly. But, we did get enough to get a day off from school. The first thing we do on a snow day is call the stores to make sure they have power and everything is working ok. Then we ask for a picture to see the parking lot and what needs to be done.

Not a big deal at either store this time. Just business as usual.

Dad gets the sleds when it snows and Mom becomes a short order cook and laundry girl/maid. And I I love doing it!!!! Having the kids pop in and out is just what I want to be doing!

Oney  and his friends pulled up with this dead deer carcus! I swear that boy...I never know what he is going to bring home.

Ally had all of her friends spend the night last night....

You KNOW they LOVE to eat!

Hayden and Abby's pics from their photo shoot:-)

They are just too cut together.

This picture doesn't really do it justice but our town square is simply stunning, especially when it snows. Our small town is so charming.

CHS Football Banquet

Abby went to the football banquet with Hayden. She and Colby took a picture too that night! How beautiful are they? So glad they have gotten close these last couple of years.

Preparing for SNOW

Who knows if it will really snow or not but this time the weather men say IT IS COMING big time! Usually that means we will end up with nothing. But, Super Dad always makes sure the kids have the sleds, ropes, atvs, gas, etc that they need for a good time just in case it comes.

The store ordered two pallets of salt. Tons of bread and milk. So we are ready.

Timing is Everything

Our delivery truck took out this light pole in our parking lot in the Munford store today. THANK goodness it was not last week the day of the lottery deal. It really would have been a mess!

Hacked

So, well, with this new found fame comes getting my social media hacked! I woke up to my instagram profile looking like this and all these notifications on my account! Holy S*#T! Thats not me! What the heck?

Yes, I had an easy password on my social accounts...well not anymore! Luckily, I was able to get on and change my password before they locked me out. I went through and unfollowed and of these strangers. The only thing I couldn't do was get rid of the people that "I" had requested to follow. Oh well.
Lesson. Learned.

On a brighter note, look at our statistics for the store's Facebook page! Pretty crazy. And when you google our name now its all about the winning lottery ticket. Good lesson for my kids on instant fame (good or bad).

What Life is ALL About

I have said this before but I am going to say it again. Our Pickwick house is the best investment we have ever made. We have made so many memories over the kids lifetime that I hope they will someday treasure as much as Judson and I do. To be able to bring their friends up and have a house full of teenagers now is so much fun! We love having the opportunity to be around their friends and  to be able to get to know them.

In the winter, we love taking our ATVs up. We go for long rides, go mudding, build a bonfire, cook s'mores, walk in the lake, and take TONS of pics!

A must have after a cold ride...HOT chocolate chip cookies!
We even took a boat ride today...it was so cold though!

On  the drive home today I saw this gorgeous sunset! I think I must be getting old because anytime I see a Sunset these days it makes me start counting my blessings! We are one BLESSED family! What an ending to such an exciting week!
