Basketball Sleepover

We hosted the Middle School Girls basketball team after the game tonight for a "bonding sleepover".  I always enjoy having the kids friends at our house. I especially enjoyed this group since I really didn't know them very well. Abby is one of two 8th graders on the team. It was nice getting to know the younger girls a little better.

The highlight of their night was going to the grocery store after hours! They wanted to go take pictures, talk on the intercom, get in the freezer, run the checkouts, etc! Crazy but fun!

Finally, at 4:30am, I went upstairs and told these clowns to GO TO SLEEP!

Thanksgiving

WOW! How gorgeous are these three babies? This was in the car on the way to Aunt Das' house for our Thanksgiving Feast. I can't believe how grown up they are these days. I am so proud of them and THANKFUL for them. We are so fortunate and we should count our blessings EVERY day of the year, not just on Thanksgiving.

I was afraid if I didn't snap a picture in the car, we would get caught up in the day and forget. Hence, you have the self portrait of Judson and me below. Look carefully at the photo bombers in the background.

My sweet, sweet Sister and me. I LOVE her!

We were especially thankful to have Mee-Maw with us today. She has been in the hospital and was so lucky to get to come home this morning. It would not have been the same without her there. We love you Mee-Maw!

Bits and pieces of our FEAST...

The woman behind it all...my wonderful sister!

This is what happens when you eat too much combined with several nights at duck camp!

Daughters, Grand Daughters, and Great Grand Daughters!

Tweeting the day away...

Sweet Sonni came by for an afternoon visit with Jan and Johnny...she is so precious! We passed her around like a baby doll. She was a good sport!

One side note...we did miss the "Naifeh Side" this year! We take turns every other year on Thanksgiving. It is kind of nice to just focus on one side of the family. Thanksgiving is really the only Holiday we do this way. We will be with the Naifeh gang next year!

Derek Dooley is Done

Hallelujah...Amen...Thank You Jesus!

And his replacement??? The verdict isn't out on this one yet...but can it get ANY worse for Tennessee fans? I don't think so.

Ducks and Dudes

The Annual Sanderson Farms father-son duck hunt is finally here! Oney has been talking about going since last year. Last year was his first year to attend. Boy, did he have a good time! Here is my man, the proud killer of a beautiful duck! This one will be mounted for sure.

Here is the silly side working the camera...

Not bad boys...

The Dads took the boys to shoot clay targets one afternoon...

Game face on and ready to kill!

Uh oh-who is in charge of this group anyway? Man down.

Oney was a little young for some of the "campfire" talk last year. He had high hopes of getting to stick around for it this year. This sign was hanging up at the cabin when they got there. Don't worry, the boys found a way around it. The sign didn't stipulate whether or not to measure from the left or the right. Boys will be boys.

A trip to Mack's is always a necessity.

Oney snapped this of Judson trying to catch an afternoon nap. The "old men" can't keep up with the young boys anymore.

How HANDSOME are these men? I LOVE this picture. You can tell they are really enjoying themselves. What an awesome tradition for them to look forward to each year.

I snatched this picture off of Oney's cell phone. For some reason, he chose not to text me this one. Boys.

The sign hanging above the urinals.

The burger from the burger joint pictured below.

Their last night at duck camp until next year. Oney hit a brick wall concrete floor, literally! He was EXHAUSTED. He was really asleep in the middle of the floor.

THANKS Sanderson Family for being so generous and entertaining my family. They will treasure their Duck Camp Stories for a lifetime.

Stack 'Em High

Pancakes...the kids breakfast of choice lately. How beautiful is this plate of pancakes? I think I have perfected them I have cooked them so much lately.

Does this handsome and happy face not make it all worth it? Oney is studying for his tests and eating his breakfast. He is so happy in the mornings. I hope he never outgrows that.

Abby is eating her breakfast, watching the news, tweeting, instagramming and texting. She does NOT like her picture made in the mornings.

Pretend you see Ally in this next picture...(not really a picture here)...I would not even attempt to take her picture in the mornings. She is a monster. Whew...I do hope she outgrows that!
